The Forest Projects

The Company has developed three projects in the Amazon region: Carajás Project; Brazilian Amazon Reforestation Project (BARP); and Brazilian Savannah Reforestation Project (BRSP), and also developed a very quick tool to evaluate REDD projects in a very effective and cost benefit facilitating the evaluation of potential REDD projects in different parts of the World but with more focus with Latin America and Africa.

Ecologica has a strategic alliance with Instituto Ecológica which adds up the social responsibility and scientific research component to the above mentioned projects (www.ecologica.org.br)

The 3 Projects developed by Ecologica comprise a total area of over 40,000 hectares of forestry land in the North region of Brazil. Each Project has a high potential of VER’s CER’s and REDD generation. Ecológica has already identified land owners willing to transfer properties to the Project, whether pursuant to lease agreements or sale agreements.

After developing preliminary stages of the Project, Ecológica is seeking for a Strategic Investor to participate in the Projects, investing capital in order to benefit from attractive returns mainly based on timber commercialization and carbon credits revenues.

We estimated a 2 year pre-operational period when the company will only incur in the costs and expenses related to the following stages:

• Project Structuring;
• Land Lease/Acquisition Option Agreements;
• Geo Research;
• Elaboration and validation of the PDD;
• Pre-operational expenses;
• Identification of new projects and opportunities in Brazil, Latin America to add value to the company.
