Prior to the strategic partial merger into CantorCO2e, Ecologica focused in providing consulting services in the climate change, renewable energies, forest systems, environmental research and strategy segments. In the Climate Change department, the services offered were: identification of greenhouse-effect gas emission reduction opportunities, technical/economic analyses of emission reduction costs, standard documentation development for Clean Development Mechanisms and Joint Implementation projects, monitoring of validation and approval processes, client advice and carbon credit negotiation and trading. In the Renewable Energies area, Ecologica offered consulting services in the implementation of energy services based upon renewable energies in isolated systems, rural electrification and business management.
Additionally, Ecologica’s Strategic Environmental Consulting area possessed ample experience in the elaboration and execution of Basic Environmental Programs, technical, financial and environmental risk assessment, among other.
Ecologica, together with Instituto Ecológica focused on sustainable development and climate change areas, acting in an integrated manner to cover the diverse nature of activities and projects.
Instituto Ecológica is a non-profit independent organization working on climate change and biodiversity conservation research, through the implementation of projects that reconcile development and environmental objectives. Together, Ecologica and Instituto Ecológica developed agro forestry management systems and new techniques of production aimed at strengthening environmental services and the development of local communities.
